May 2026:
Inaugural Monthly Café Meet-Up Sunday 3rd May at 2pm:

A relaxed café meet-up which was open to MCCAN members and general community to connect with like-minded locals and discuss practical ways to take action. — electrifying their home and how to get involved. People discovered how they can make a difference -  in a supportive, welcoming space. It was held ​at Delicious Fingers Café 350 Marmion Street, Melville. 

April 2026: 
MCCAN provided a PowerPoint presentation on "Electrifying Your Home" at the EcoHub, Leach Hwy, Winthrop.

February 2026:
A successful Planning Workshop led by Shani Graham, focussed on initiatives for 2026/2027. The group set goals like leading emission reduction, boosting household electrification, enhancing community connection and motivation. Participants explored various passion projects and chose 3 focus areas for deeper planning. The aim is to create sub-committees to develop practical plans while ensuring residents stay connected, supported, and motivated throughout the journey.

January 2026:
MCCAN interviewed Sam Lim MP (Member for the electorate of Tangney) on the uptake of Solar and Home Batteries in the Federal Seat of Tangney (which covers almost all the area of City of Melville) and in January 2026 has the highest uptake in Western Australia.
