2024 Community Events

​

  • Two-hour seminar with guest speaker Prof Peter Newman and other MCCAN speakers at the AH Bracks Library. This event was fully booked.

  • Information sessions about electrification in homes and businesses at:

➢ Repair Lab (EcoHub)

➢ The EcoHub Expo

➢ Jacaranda Festival

  • ‘Electrify Melville City’ video, showing how we have electrified different aspects of our homes and transport.

  • Prepared submission to the Council, giving input into their Community Climate Action Plan.

  • Met with the City’s Climate Action Sustainability Team to give further input.

  • After the Community Climate Action Plan was endorsed by Council, we attended the launch of the Plan.

  • Built a close working relationship with CoM EcoHub staff, who are responsible for activating the Community Climate Action Plan. They now have a reference group established to help them. â€‹
